Videogame classic Lemmings reissued today for smartphone

The world-famous Lemmings game has been reissued for the smartphone today. In the game that came out in the 90s, you have to save dozens of green creatures by leading them to the exit of a level. There are thousands of levels in the new game.

“It’s time for a completely new generation to save or slaughter the cute creatures,” said the official  Sony PlayStation blog . Sony owns the rights to Lemmings , since the acquisition of Psygnosis game studio in 1993.

Lemmings was introduced to the Amiga computer in 1991. The game is considered one of the most popular computer games of the time. In the new game the creatures look for a new habitat in the universe. There are thousands of levels and each level is a new world. On their way to safety, they encounter saws, bubbles and other dangers.

Lemmings gets both an iOS and an Android version. The game was already made for Atari, Nintendo, Sega, Game Boy and PlayStation.

Penalties for Brabant gambling millionaires who brush millions of white

Stijn F. (40) from Eindhoven and Michel G. (38) from Geldrop have two years in the cell to set up a large illegal online gambling empire that was rolled up in 2013. The court in Den Bosch decided this afternoon. 

Stijn F. acted as a driving force, Michel G. is seen by the court as the financial man who also took management decisions. Maurice G. (40), the brother of Michel, is convicted for up to sixteen months imprisonment and also a fine of one tonne.

Advocate Annette M., also involved in the case, was acquitted by the court of all facts. The men behind the casino had asked her for advice. She has given these advice but also noted that the casino is against the law. She has therefore been transparent, according to the judge. 

The Eindhoven tax adviser Guus de L. has to go into the cell: he is sentenced to an unconditional prison sentence of seven months and can not exercise his profession for three years. The L. was guilty of membership of a criminal organization and forgery. De L., who lives in Belgium, heard his punishment shaking his head, after which he tapped his forehead. 

Mother

The other suspects were convicted, among other things, for money laundering and participation in a criminal organization. The mother of Stijn F. and the partners of the main suspects, among other things, heard serious tasks, sometimes with a suspended prison sentence. 

Against Stijn F. a four-year prison sentence was demanded in October, of which one year was conditional. Against the two other main suspects, the brothers Michel (38) and Maurice G. (40) from Geldrop were sentenced to three years and thirty months in prison respectively, of which six months conditional.

Raid

Until the police invaded them in the De Regent building in Eindhoven in 2013, the suspects received a hundred million euros in gamblers’ bets. According to the Public Prosecution Service, tens of millions of illegal income has been acquired since 2004 in ten years. The Public Prosecution Service has previously announced that it will take away their capabilities. In the invasion five years ago, eighty business premises and homes and more than a hundred bank accounts were seized.

Fine
